DARKANE To Begin Recording Next Month
September 6, 2004Swedish thrashers DARKANE will enter the studio October 1 to begin recording the follow-up to 2002's "Expanding Senses", tentatively due in early 2005 through Nuclear Blast Records. In other news, the band are scheduled to play this year's Aalborg festival, set to take place November 5-6 at Studenterhuset in Aalborg, Denmark. Other acts confirmed for the festival include ZYKLON, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, PRIMAL FEAR, SCARVE, THE DEFACED, WITHERING SURFACE, JERKSTORE and VOLBEAT.
Also on the DARKANE-related front, the band played a gig in Ängelholm a month ago and "the show went very well," according to a posting on the band's web site. "During the show Speed Stridh from SOILWORK entered the stage to join [DARKANE vocalist] Andreas [Sydow] on the vocals to 'Convicted'."
